"Woodworking" as a general activity, or professional pursuit within the current-day, has for at least 50 years time (perhaps longer) been in a continually non-hypothetical modern dark age, given that if it were to also be collectively understood to exist as a legitimate "creative field", and were then viewed as such a thing — within, or amongst the many spectrums of its existence — what it still couldn't account for, is the engine of dilemma that social media presents, as conceivably enacting upon the individual's sole ability of expecation for capacity to also as a participant, viewer, or member then be (as a result) "engaged" in what is not an actual, or true litmus for one's in-person, instant eyewitness of any codified knowledge beyond & aside the personal sentiment found in one's individualized screen time viewership as to be what stands to accurately represent who is "who", and "why so" in real, physical life, and in person, and/or "who" does what, and "why"; given how human impressionability, working alongside the fervor of media-based & focused small industry legacy & identity politics, and an intentionally embedded, selective usage of A.I. have largely attributed to the shared human social psyche within most likely any modern hivemind space of primarily meta-based & inspired human groupthink; to now often exist for one's mere stance, of a hopeful chance to enlist as yet another audience member, or follower; often strictly for the approval of more audience members, or followers as then carrying, or embodying "Experience". And being that essentially almost no one mentions or discusses this dynamic, or its myriad solutions in small or large groups, or without much of its actual modern professional contributors, is essentially why "Woodworking" as a "field" worldwide, is not dispositioned to legitimately grow, outside of its regularly inclined, often beauracratically gate kept focus of chosen inability to foster new & relevant broader-scale conversations befitting new & updated narrative for what both its present, or future could be based upon more authentically; as comprised of what its present actually entails, and consists of in the current-day, among true leadership, enthusiasts, and students.
